Project & Supply Coordinator


Location: Carter County
Position Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Volunteer Coordinator

Position Summary

This part-time role will work in close conjunction with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure that project materials and tools are onsite for volunteer teams. They will also be responsible for working with teams as needed to answer questions and help provide a meaningful experience for volunteers in rebuilding and repairing disaster damaged properties. The ideal candidate is organized, mission-driven, and experienced in managing projects, communicates clearly and effectively, and enjoys working in dynamic, fast-changing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Manager

  • Supervise volunteers on job sites

  • Serve as the secondary point of contact for volunteer teams and group leaders

  • Provide orientation, training, and safety briefings as necessary and in conjunction with the Volunteer Coordinator

  • Foster a positive and mission-focused volunteer experience at the job site

Supply & Logistics Management

  • Coordinate procurement, inventory, storage, and distribution of recovery supplies

  • Track incoming donations and purchased materials

  • Ensure materials are delivered to job sites efficiently and cost-effectively

  • Maintain organized systems around tools and materials (donated or purchased)

  • Communicate regularly with Volunteer Coordinator for material logistics and schedule planning around volunteer teams

  • Represent the organization in the community positively

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Experience in project management, volunteer management, and supply/material logistics

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Experience working with and leading volunteers

  • Excellent communication with Volunteer Coordinator and Director

  • Ability to work flexible hours M-F

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and local regulations

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of basic construction practices

  • Familiarity with the local community in Carter County

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain at work sites

Compensation

  • Hourly wage

  • Mileage Reimbursement

  • Estimated 25–30 hours per week
